Spring 2024 Schedule

Rodeo Information

The Washington State High School Rodeo Association is a part of the National High School Rodeo Association.  There are two divisions in our state, Junior High (grades 6-8) and High School (grades 9-12).  The rodeo season starts in the fall and we have our state finals in late spring, you can join anytime throughout the year. There are usually about 4 rodeos in the fall and 5 in the spring. Points are awarded to the top 10 places in each event and kept track of throughout the fall and spring rodeos and state finals. If at the end of State Finals you have finished in the top four of your event, then you will be given the opportunity to compete at The National High School (or JH) Finals Rodeo.

There are WSHSRA State Dues as well as NHSRA National Dues that must be paid in order to join as well as a requirement to sell raffle tickets.  We pride ourselves on having not only the best athletes but also the best students.  That being said there are grade requirements that must be met a few times throughout the rodeo season. There are other required forms in order to rodeo for WSHSRA.  Those requirements and the steps to become a member can be found on our website under the membership tab.
